Research has shown that the set and setting play a significant role in the psychedelic experience. It is therefore very important to ensure that the setting will be conducive to the best possible experience. Ideally, clients should meet the co-therapist beforehand.
Clients should familiarize themselves with the room in which they will receive treatment so that it will feel as comfortable as possible. It can be very useful to hold the interview in that same room.
