Curious if you do these intakes as a team or individually. I feel like my writing or typing – capturing the clients words – would distract me in some ways from connecting with them, hearing on a deeper level, and building trust. At the same time I can imagine I might want to record things that I hear that strike me personally as significant.
Hi Michael, Mela usually does the intakes. She fills in the form while the client is talking. As she has done hundreds of intakes, it is natural as breathing for her. Using a team would be an option so one could take notes while the other asks the client questions. It’s not such a good use of time for the two of you, but it’s an option.
I need permission to be able to view the intake form.
